UNIBIOMEDICS Inc is an University spin off from the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Astronautics (Prof. Claudio Scarponi), the Department of Radiological Sciences (Prof. Roberto Passariello) in Rome and several companies in medical fields.
UNIBIOMEDICS is involved in studying new products by the application of technical discoveries in medical sciences.
First development consists in:
- implementation of intraoperative probes for the innovative technique of sentinel lymph node (LNS);
- use of the Nanofibers for achieving the production of clothing;
- the medical filters to block bacteria and several types of viruses;
- to implement systems and methodologies for e-learning upgrading the medical staff (CME courses);
- the use of special materials, typical aerospace application for the production of surgical robot;
- use of materials biocompatible for certain hospital supplies.
The ambition of UNIBIOMEDICS srl is to become a true center of excellence in National Development of new technologies in the biomedical field.
